Knowing When to Say Goodbye

We recommend discussing end of life care with your veterinarian, so they can help you decide if dog or cat euthanasia is the next step for your companion. Our team will also evaluate your pet’s quality of life by considering the following:

• Has your pet stopped eating or drinking?
• Is your pet able to move or walk unassisted?
• Does your pet seem to be in pain?
• Does your pet have constant diarrhea or vomiting?
• Is your pet acting lethargic?
• Has your pet been having accidents in the house?

What to Expect with a Cat or Dog Euthanasia Appointment

Our team understands how important your pet is to your family. As part of our extended family, we are here to help ensure your pet’s passing is as peaceful as possible for you and your pet. For the comfort of your pet, we will place an IV catheter to administer a sedative. Once your pet has fallen asleep, we’ll provide the euthanasia injection. We can also provide cremation services. If you have any concerns about your pet’s health or well-being, please contact AFVCC today.
