Ferrets are cute, cuddly, and mischievous, and they can get into just about anything! They definitely need an environment that suits their instincts to burrow and hide, and at least four hours of playtime each day outside of their enclosure. Ferrets may also get bored easily, so having a pair, rather than just one, might be ideal.
It is also important to note that ferrets are carnivores and should have a diet that is more similar to a cat’s than a rabbit’s. Ferrets can also be prone to a variety of diseases, so annual checkups are key to preventing infection or treating it as quickly as possible.
